A bus carrying stranded migrants met with an accident claiming a person’s life and injuring 20 others near Jamujhadi Chhak under the Simulia police station in Baleswar district on Wednesday
Sources said the bus was on its way to Bihar’s Patna from Puducherry carrying around 50 migrants. Midway, the bus rammed into a stationary truck on roadside near Jamujhadi Chhak on the National Highway-16. While the bus driver died on the spot, 20 passengers suffered injuries.
On receiving information, police reached the spot and sent the body to a hospital for postmortem. The cops also initiated an inquiry in this connection and seized the vehicle.
