CM orders strict action against those accused in sex racket case

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan here on Monday ordered stringent possible action against those who are involved in sexual exploitation of minor girls who were recovered from outside a farm house on Sunday wee hours.

CM Chouhan ordered to cancel press accreditation of a newspaper owner Pyare Miyan, who owns a local Hindi newspaper in Bhopal, and is the main accused in the case.

The Government house allotted to Miyan under press quota too has been cancelled on the directives of CM Chouahn who reviewed the case in a meeting with police and Dept of Home officers on Monday.

Within no time, the Public Relations department issued orders of cancellation of the accreditation and vacating the Government accommodation.

Notably, five girls in inebriated condition were found by police in Ratibad area of Bhopal on Sunday wee hours and later they claimed that they went to a flat in Shahpura area farm house for a party. It had emerged in the police probe that the said flat used to host drink parties frequently and these girls were sent to the flat by Miyan who had hired four minor and a major girl Sweety Vishwakarma.

Later on Sunday, police had booked Pyare Miyan (68) and and his assistant Sweety Vishwakarma (21) and arrested the girl while the newspaper owner was on the run and a bounty of Rs 10,000 has been announced by police on his arrest.After the recovery of minor girls, aged 14 to 17 years, the police had handed them over to Childline which is counselling the girls.

Police had learnt that Pyare Miyan and Sweety Vishwakara used to send these girls to parties where they were made to drink and dance.

One of the girls alleged that the elderly man had raped her during the party. Police suspect a sex racket in this connection. Pyare Miyan’s assistant Sweety has revealed names of some agents who helped her find and hire girls.

A communique from Bhopal police said that Pyare Miyan and his assistant has been booked under sections of Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO).

Archana Sayay, Director of Childline Bhopal said that Pyare Miyan also used to take minor girls to Indore on the pretext of cleaning his house there and also raped them there.

The man not only threated these girls with life and also took care of their necessities and had provided them two wheelers also. Mostly the girls were offered drinks before they were sexually exploited, said Sahay adding the girls are being counselled at Childline.

Maternal grandmother of one of the girls was a domestic help at Pyare Miyan’s home and used to accompany the girl to Indore as well but she did not raise alarm ever as she kept getting money.

Police said that the main accused is habitual of sexually exploiting minor girls.

The Hindi newspaper owned by Pyare Miyan has been running in Bhopal since 40 years and is among the oldest newspapers of the city.

Later in the day, the administration demolished a marriage hall owned by Pyare in Ginnori locality of Bhopal.
