CM satisfied on new card holders getting ration

Reiterating his government’s resolve on not letting anyone sleep hungry in the state, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that it has been satisfying that new ration card holders have started getting supplies immediately. Earlier, the wait period was about two months for a new card holder.

Chairing a review meeting of Unlock 1.0 in Lok Bhawan, Yogi asked officials to ensure smooth distribution of foodgrains and fair weighing by preparing and implement an action plan in this regard in a week. He also directed that new ration cards be given to the needy and supplies be ensured to the new holders.

Asking to intensify police patrol on highways, expressways and parks, the Chief Minister said that it was necessary to ensure implementation of lockdown, social distancing and avoidance of gathering. He also stressed on running doorstep delivery efficiently in containment zones.

Yogi instructed officials to ensure cleanlines and security in quarantine centres and community kitchens. “Community kitchens should provide quality food to all. Special Secretaries deputed in districts to assist DMs, should inspect these centres and kitchens regularly and report to the government,” he said.

The CM directed that Additional Directors and Joint Directors of Health department be deputed in districts as nodal officers and they should inspect Covid and Non-Covid hospitals without fail. “These officers should also monitor and report emergency and surgical services in hospital and ensure services to the aggrieved people,” he said.

Yogi said that proper coordination among stakeholders would always help in containing the infection and asked officials to pay special attention to clinical facilities in medical colleges of Agra, Meerut, Kanpur, Aligarh, Moradabad and Ferozabad.

Observing that screening and strengthening of surveillance committees had helped in containing the infection greatly, Yogi asked officials to keep these committees activated and make intensify screening. He said that all railway stations in the state should arrange for thermal screening and handbills to make public aware about prevention of Corona be distributed at railway stations.

The CM also stressed that all hospitals should have adequate stock of PPE kits, N-95 masks, three layer masks, gloves, sanitiser etc and said that availability of oxygen and arrangement for bio-waste disposal be ensured in the hospitals. He said that doctors and nurses should take rounds of the wards regularly.

Taking cognisance of availability of TruNAT machines for prompt result of Corona testing, Yogi said that these should be sent to all 75 districts immediately and ensure that they became operational in a week. He asked to raise testings from 10,000 per day to 15,000 per day with every district having covid testing lab.

The Chief Minister asked Industrial Investment Development Commissioner (IIDC) to keep in touch with potential investors to augment investment in the state. He also asked officials to run wheat purchase centres properly and ensure Minimum Support Price (MSP) of produce to the farmers.
