Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath asked officials to chalk out an action plan be to make sick industrial units functional to generate maximum employment and to implement unlock 1.0 effectively while following  Centre’s guidelines.

“Economic, commercial and industrial activities should be started with preventive measure while the police should effectively check gathering and security in markets,” Yogi said while chairing a meeting to review unlock 1.0 at his official residence here on Monday.

The chief minister said that to create more jobs, an action plan should be prepared to revive industrial units for this such units had to be mapped. He also asked officials to prepare an action plan for mango export from UP.

Yogi emphasised on revenue generation and said that serious efforts be made to reach the targets of June. He directed intensive patrolling on highways, markets and parks to ensure social distancing.

With commencement of daily trains, the chief minister ordered that travellers be thoroughly checked at all stations and if anyone was found with symptoms, he/she be immediately shifted to the hospital.

“Officers of administration, police and health department should be compulsorily deployed at railway stations to ensure scanning of every passenger. Hand bills on prevention from coronavirus should be given to each passenger,” he said.

The chief minister asked officials to run quarantine centres and community kitchens as effectively as was being done earlier. He said all migrant workers be taken to quarantine centres and medically screened.

The chief minister observed that effective surveillance system would help in commencing several activities, including intrastate bus services.

Meanwhile, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Awanish Awasthi said that data of 24 lakh migrant workers had been collected and the number was likely to go up to 30 lakh by next week.

He said so far 1,587 Shramik Special trains had brought 21.50 lakh migrant workers and their families to UP and in the next two-three days, one lakh more migrants would be brought back from other states.

Most migrants came from Gujarat by 530 trains followed Maharashtra by 427 trains, from Punjab by 233 trains, from Karnataka  by 53 trains, from Telangana by 23 trains, from Tamil Nadu by 37 trains, from Kerala by 13 trains, from J&K by two trains and from north eastern states by a couple of trains.
