Congress bigwigs intensify campaign in Bermo

Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) has put all out efforts and has intensified campaign to ensure Kumar Jaimangal's victory in the Bermo bypoll scheduled on November 3. Agriculture Minister Badal visited several areas and JPCC Chief, Rameshwar Oraon along with other senior party leaders will camp for next three days in Bermo to campaign for the party candidate.

JMM leader and Drinking Water and Sanitation Minister, Mithilesh Thakur also visited Bermo on Wednesday and held several public meetings in various places of the Bermo Assembly constituency.

JPCC Spokesperson Lal Kishorenath Shahdeo informed that Oraon, along with other senior party leaders will camp for next three days in Bermo.

The campaign for the Bermo by-election is now in the last phase. The last date for campaigning is November, 1 and voting will be held on November, 3. The main contest is between the NDA and UPA candidates.

Agriculture Minister Badal held several public meetings on Wednesday. Addressing the people on the occasion Badal said that the State Government under the leadership of Chief Minister, Hemant Soren is working on various kinds of action plans for public interest and bringing it down to the ground. "The pace of development work was slowed down during the Corona period. Now the situation is becoming normal, many tasks will start appearing on the ground now," he added.

The Minister said that the people of Bermo region had worked with great enthusiasm to elect Rajendra Singh as MLA for the sixth time. "This bye-election is happening due to his sudden demise. Give an opportunity to Kumar Jayamangal from this region to speed up the development work done by the late Rajendra Singh,” he added.

Almost all Congress MLAs in the State visited Bermo to campaign for the party candidate. Health Minister, Banna Gupta on Tuesday addressed several public meetings in Chandrapura and Dugda to ensure the victory of the party candidate. He also visited some places by auto rickshaw so as to attract the people's eye.

JPCC Spokesperson, Alok Dubey, LKN Shahdeo and Rajesh Gupta also visited Bermo on Tuesday and On Wednesday they returned to the State Capital after holding public meetings at several places of Bermo in favour of Jaimanagal.

Addressing the gathering Dubey said that the wind of the Congress-JMM alliance can be felt clearly in the Bermo and Dumka Assembly by-elections, whereas the way the voters voted to oust the BJP-JD(U) Government in the Bihar Assembly elections at present, it has become clear that not only Jharkhand-Bihar, but the BJP's downfall has started in the entire Country.
