The recovery rate of Covid infected has significantly improved in Chhattisgarh.
In the past week between October 16 and 22, in all 16,649 Covid positive people successfully recovered, the Health Department said in a press release on Friday.
Also, so far 143,212 Covid patients have defeated coronavirus, it said.
Currently, on an average, 22,000 samples are being tested every day in the state. So far, around 16 lakh samples have been tested. Last week, 151,392 people were examined for Covid infection.
Of 143,212 Covid positive patients who recovered, 71,021 had received treatment in Covid care hospitals. Another 72,191 were in home isolation.
Last week, out of 16,649 people who recovered, 13,721 were treated in hospitals and the rest were in home isolation, the press release said.
The present recovery rate of Covid cases in Chhattisgarh is 84.18 percent. The death rate is 0.99 percent. The national level recovery and death rates are 89.53 and 1.51 percent respectively.
