Crime branch Bhopal police have nabbed an absconding  fake  reporter who was charged of extorting money and threatening a shopkeeper along with his aide on April 28; accused was nabbed from Ashoka Garden area on Wednesday. The nabbed accused was identified as Kafil Ahmed (44) who along with Salimullah extorted Rs 15000 from a grocery shop keeper and demanded

Rs 50000 later the shopkeeper lodged complaint after which the two went absconding. On Wednesday acting on a tip off on Wednesday Kafeel was nabbed from Ashoka Garden area while search for Salim is on.

Earlier on April 28 the victim lodged complaint against the two accused who told that are from Crimenews and they have video ofselling cigarette and mouth freshener( tobacco based) at four times the original price and threatened to take legal action and demanded Rs 50000.

 The victim provided Rs 15000 while they remaining would be provided within next two days and they left the shop.Police registered a case under sections 384, 506 and 34 of the IPC and nabbed one of the accused on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Shahpura police have nabbed an accused who raped a woman in forest near Raisen and were having a reward of Rs 5000 on their head; accused were absconding for the past five months.

Police have arrested Javed for sexually assaulting the victim five months ago with the help of his aide Abid.

 The victim was lured by the two and asked to come to Kolar and she was accompanied in jeep and later sexually assaulted in forest at Raisen. The two are residents of Sultanpur Raisen. Police said that search for Abid has been intensified.
