The Baghpat police rescued a girl from the clutches of three kidnappers who were raping her in a moving car on Friday night.
The police good work was facilitated as the car being used by the outlaws ran out of fuel and it stopped near a police patrol.
As per reports, a team from Binauli police station were patrolling near Dera Sachha Sauda Ashram on Badaut-Meerut road when they saw a car slowing by the roadside near them. As the cops looked closely, they found a girl held captive on the rear seat by two youths.
When the cops enquired, the youths claimed that their vehicle had run out of fuel and they were doing nothing objectionable. However, the girl urged the men in uniform to free her from the accused.
During quizzing, it surfaced that the girl was a native of Doghat area in Badaut and was returning home at night when the accused forcibly bundled her inside the car. Later they took turns with her in the moving car by threatening to kill her if she raised an alarm.
The police arrested all three Youths. They were identified as Gaurav of Kakaud in Chiprauli, Sanjay and Shivam of Vijbada in Baghpat.
The victim was sent for medical examination and later handed over to her parents.
Forensic experts were called in to collect evidence from the vehicle where the crime took place.
The accused were sent to jail on Saturday.
