Gudumbaja, Dholak centre of attraction at online prog ‘Rang Sanskriti Ke’

The initiative of presenting cultural performances featured online ‘Rang Sanskriti Ke’ is grabbing applauses from across the world. On Thursday the musical performances of Indian classical instruments including Gudumbaja and dholak were the interesting part of the cultural programme.

The initiative was started with a view to give platform to the artists of the State. The performances are being presented on YouTube Channel of Department of Culture.

Here on Thursday, performances from Sagar, Katni, Hoshangabad and other districts were presented. The performances included folk dance forms, Qawwali, Ghazal and devotional singing.

The performance of Gudumbaja by artist Moti Lal from Anuppur village was the most colourful one. Gudum Baja is a traditional instrument which is more popular amongst the Dhulia tribals of Dindori, Mandla and Shahdol districts of Madhya Pradesh

It is to be noted that in view of the worldwide crisis of Coronavirus, a creative initiative is taken by the Culture Department Madhya Pradesh Government by connecting the artists of the country and State, which has received an encouraging response.

The writers, poets and artists invited by the Department of Culture from time to time in its events were requested to send their creative act for the society on their behalf in this hour of crisis, which they circulated to all through their social media.

In response, writers and artists from across the country recorded their acts in video and are sending it to the department of culture. All the acts are being uploaded on YouTube channel of the Department of Culture.
