Half dozen hurt after 2 groups clash while playing cards

Over half a dozen people were injured after two groups clashed while playing cards at Sudama Nagar under Kamla Nagar police station area late in the night on Wednesday; two persons have sustained severe injuries in the clash.

Panic prevailed late in the night at Sudama Nagar after Alok Manohar was attacked by Raju More and his aides with wooden sticks and iron rods.

According to the police, around 11 pm Alok and Raju had a verbal spate and it soon turned bloody as the exchange of words was replaced with deadly attack lead by armed men. The quarrel between the two was soon joined by friends and family members from both the parties who attacked with sharp edged weapons.Alok lodged a complaint against Raju More, Polly, Vishal, Nandu, Vinay and others who attacked him outside his house and hit him in his head and his family members were also injured in a bid to save him.

The injured were rushed to hospital and were two persons are undergoing treatment while remaining were discharged after treatment. Both the groups involved in the clash have lodged complaints against each other.Police have registered a case of rioting and assault against Raju More, Polly, Vishal, Nandu, Vinay and others while Raju has lodged complaint against Amol and Mukesh who entered his house and assaulted him.

Meanwhile two parked vehicles were set ablaze at Golden valley heights apartment in the early morning on Thursday.Police said that two cars were damaged badly after they were torched at around 7 in the morning on Thursday. Fire tenders vehicles rushed to spot and pacified the fire.

The CCTV camera is installed in the area could help in revealing the details of the miscreants involved in the arson. Police have started further investigation.
