Railway launches digitised online HRMS

Indian Railway has launched a completely digitised online Human Resource Management System (HRMS), which is a high thrust project for Indian Railways to leverage improved productivity & employee satisfaction. It is a move to improve efficiency and productivity of the Railway system and a step towards realizing the vision of the Prime Minister to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. HRMS is expected to create a big impact on the functioning of all the employees and will make them more tech savvy. Vinod Kumar Yadav, Chairman & CEO, Railway Board has launched some modules of HRMS & User depot useful for railway employees and pensioners on Thursday via video conferencing.

Goods Shed near Gaya

A new goods shed has been opened at Chakand station near Gaya in Danapur division for the convenience of local traders by East Central Railway. Facility of loading / unloading of cement, fertilizer, food grains etc has been provided at this goods shed. This will benefit traders from Gaya, Jehanabad and nearby districts. The platform warf length of Chakand Goods shed is 727 meters. In view of the inconvenience caused to the traders in picking up the material due to no entry in Jehanabad and Gaya city, this rakes shed is available in the goods shed located just 100 meters from the NH. Transport of cement, fertilizer, salt, stone chips, food grains etc. has become easier from here.

UP Shah joins as BSNL, Ranchi, GM

Indian telecom Service, 1984 batch officer Umesh Prasad Shah today took charge of the General Manager of BSNL, Ranchi. Former GM, Ramashray Prasad has been transferred as General Manager (CM), Jharkhand. Earlier, Shah was posted as Director (Security), Kolkata and was in charge of West Bengal, Andaman and Nicobar and Sikkim. Shah has also worked as Director, IT with the Government of Jharkhand.

Medha celebrates Dr Kurien’s birth anniv

Dr Varghese Kurien's 99th birthday was celebrated as National Milk Day by Medha Dairy, in Ranchi on Thursday. Dr Kurien is also known as the proponent of white revolution, as a result of which India today occupies the leading position in milk production all over the world. In the dairy sector of India, the farmer brothers and sisters associated with the cooperatives have made significant contribution, due to whose tireless efforts, the country is today number one in the world in milk production. On this occasion, Managing Director of Jharkhand Milk Federation, Sudhir Kumar Singh, apprised the personnel of Dr Varghese Kurien's incredible contribution in the importance of Cooperation and the success of the White Revolution.

DPS Bokaro celebrates Annual Function

To acknowledge the academic brilliance of the students, DPS Bokaro organised the annual function cum felicitation ceremony- ‘Nakshatra’ with vibrancy and exuberance on the virtual platform. Around 456 students were awarded certificates and badges whereas 33 students were awarded gold medals for exceptional performance in the academic session 2019-20. V. K. Pandey, ED (MM) Bokaro Steel Plant and Pro-Vice Chairman, Managing Committee, DPS Bokaro were the Chief Guests on the occasion. Principal A. S. Gangwar said, “Children are our strength and we derive energy from them. With great expectations for a continuous march to the zenith of success, we constantly look for new ways to make learning engaging and exciting.”
