Ex-MLA found positive

Former MLA from Bhavnathpur Anant Pratap Dev along with three others his team members have been found to be Coronavirus positive.  Former MLA's private secretary Pradeep Singh and his associates Mukteshwar Pandey and Rohit Verma have been found infected.  The former MLA had met with the PHED Minister Mithilesh Thakur and other officials in Ranchi recently.

Hazaribag DC self-quarantined

After Hazaribag DC’s cousin was found Corona positive Deputy Commissioner Bhuvnesh Pratap Singh has self-quarantined himself. The medical team has reached the residence and sanitized the whole area of DC residence. The team has taken samples of 33 staffs of the residence office and police guards. The confidential office of DC has started the work in the secretariat campus. Now there are 70 COVID patients and total cases have reached 264.  As many as 184 patients have been released from the hospital after recovery.

One snatcher held

Police have arrested Pawan Kumar Rawat in connection with snatching of Rs10,000 and a mobile phone from a Sundram Kumar at Barmasiya forest area under Lokainaranpur police station in Giridih, said SP Amit Renu. A case dated July 10, 2020 had been registered with Lokainarayanpur PS to the effect. The incident had taken place on Barmasiamor forest area under Thansinghdih OP in which Pawan Kumar Rawat had interrupted one Sundram Kumar and snatched Rs 10,000 and a mobile phone from him.

PAS Bokaro shines in Board exams

The Pentecostal Assembly School achieved 100 per cent results with 1/3rd of its board batch appearing students where 63 students securing more than 90% in AISSCE class 12th. The hard work of the students and the persistent labor of the teachers has brought glory to the institution & city. Mimansha bagged the top position with 98% marks and 22 students scored more than 95%, while 63 students got more than 90% in the school.

Maoist held in Giridih

A hardcore Maoist –Toofan alias Toofan Manjhi alias Rajkumar Kisku alias Anil Kisku alais Kishor Chand Kisku alias Kishor Daa was arrested from Manjhidih village area under Dumari police station by police in the anti-Maoists operation here on Monday, said SP Giridih Amit Renu. Superintendent of police Amit Renu said the Maoist was involved in killing several police personnel and local peoples recently near the Manjhidih area under the Giridih police station. The arrested Maoist is close to area commander, Ajay Mahto group. A senior police officer interrogating the Maoist leader at an undisclosed location, on condition of anonymity, said that during preliminary interrogation, Toofan Manjhi  has admitted involvement in more than dozen Naxal incidents.
