Youth’s body found hanging in Nuapada
Nuapada: Mystery shrouded the death of a 28-year-old man, whose decomposed body was found hanging from a tree in a forest in the Boden police station area of Nuapada district on Friday. He was missing for last 15 days. The youth identified as Makaran Majhi of Tetelkhunti village had gone out of his house following an altercation with his family members.
Pallahara BJD worker killed in mishap
Pallahara: Kanhei Charana Sethi, a BJD worker here, was killed while his tractor met an accident at his farm land while used for cultivation on Thursday. Dhenkanal MP Mahesh Sahoo condoled his death.
8L country liquor seized, 1 held in Pallahara
Pallahara: An Excise squad here raided different locations and seized 8 liters of country liquor, besides arresting one, identified as Siba Kumar Naik on the spot. There was a registered licence country liquor shop on the outskirts area of Bada Balipasi Rajdang but without any notice the liquor shop was selling in the unauthorised area near Rajdang village. The women had been protesting the liquor sale for long. SI Kedara Pradhan, ASIs Bipin Sahoo, Ramesh Behera, Sasmita Behera and Sukulu Hembram comprised the team.
