JPCC holds strategic meeting for Bermo bypoll

A special strategic meeting was held in view of the Bermo Assembly by-election under the chairmanship of Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC), Chief, Rameshwar Oraon.

The meeting was attended by party executive president Keshav Mahato Kamlesh, Manas Sinha, Sanjay Lal Paswan, organization in-charge Ravindra Singh, spokesperson Amulya Neeraj Khalkho among others.

Oraon discussed the strategy of State congress committee level election preparation by taking feedback of the first executive presidents Keshav Mahato Kamlesh, Manas Sinha and organization in-charge Ravindra Singh visited Bermo Assembly constituency on Friday. JPCC Chief said that the Bharatiya Janata Party's workers and anti-peasants and the Central Government's step-motherly behaviour with the State should be taken to the last person of Bermo Assembly area.

As per the decision in the meeting, a special electoral preparation meeting was called on October 19, at the Jardih Election Office at 12 noon with the party's state level leaders and MLAs. In the meeting, it was decided to camp two MLAs of the party in each of the Blocks of Bermo Assembly constituency, as well as deputation of prominent leaders of the state Congress with special responsibility in campaigning.

It was also decided during the meeting to contact the last voters of the area in an intensive election campaign by coordinating with the party leaders and workers of the Bermo Assembly constituency.

The State unit party president gave the responsibility to Executive President Keshav Mahto Kamlesh, Manas Sinha and organization in-charge Ravindra Singh to appoint key leaders of the party in the election work at the panchayat level as per the need based on the political equation of the region.

Oraon said the officials should coordinate with members of the party's trade organization INTUC. At the same time, the party president said that I myself and all the ministers and MLAs of the party will campaign in favor of the alliance candidate Bansat Soren while exercising equal responsibility in Dumka assembly by-election and will ensure victory of Congress-JMM alliance in both the seats. .

Meanwhile, Oraon said that the Central Government should consider increasing the wage rate for MGNREGA labourers of Jharkhand.

He said that the construction work has not been accelerated during the Corona infection period, in the tribal-dominated states like Jharkhand, a large number of people are getting employment from the MGNREGA schemes. Inflation has increased throughout the Country; employment opportunities have come down, in view of this, it is necessary to increase the wages of MGNREGA.

Oran said that in many states of the Country, the MGNREGA wage rate is up to Rs 300, while in Jharkhand only Rs 194 is being paid.
