In yet another incident in Uttar Pradesh, a doctor was kidnapped by car-borne miscreants in Amroha late Tuesday night.
The victim’s daughter tried to foil the attempt but was pushed aside by the kidnappers.
Soon after, the daughter called Police Control Room after which the district borders were sealed and a massive search operation was carried out but all these failed to yield the desired result.
As per reports, Dr Pankaj Biswas aka Dr Bengali ran his clinic at Kailsa border in Amroha police station area. Around 10 pm on Tuesday, some youths came in a car and approached the doctor for treating a patient who they said was present in the vehicle.
As the unsuspecting doctor came near the car, the miscreants bundled him inside the vehicle and tried to sped off.
As the doctor’s daughter tried to intervene, the miscreants pushed her with force as a result of which she fell and was injured.
Based on a written complaint by the doctor’s wife Nishima, a case was registered against unidentified persons and a massive search was underway.
The family has so far not received any ransom call.
Originally from West Bengal, Dr Pankaj Biswas is living with his wife Nishima and daughter Nikita at Kailsa border area for the last two decades. .
