After several women teachers were found working on forged documents, now a male teacher of a government school was found drawing salaries from two schools of west UP simultaneously.
Interestingly, the accused teacher went missing after going on leave and he sent his resignation in November last year.
As per reports, Pradeep Kumar was employed at government primary schools of Muzaffarnagar and Bareilly districts. While he was staying and teaching in Muzaffarnagar since June 2011, he also drew salary from the Bareilly school. This was confirmed by officials of Education department in Muzaffarnagar.
The officials said the matter came to light on Tuesday when they were scanning the documents submitted by Pradeep Kumar at the time of getting job.
“During online checking of documents, we found that Pradeep Kumar was employed as a teacher in two schools — in Muzaffarnagar and in Bareilly. However, he got the job on the basis of same documents,” Khand Shiksha Adhikari (education officer) in Muzaffarnagar Narender Singh said.
Singh said that an inquiry had been ordered and legal action would be initiated as per the findings.
Kumar, who had been teaching at the Muzaffarnagar school for more than eight years, went on medical leave in November, 2019. He later sent his resignation and his whereabouts are not known.
Last month, UP Police arrested several people for using same set of documents to secure jobs in different government schools.
