Man arrested for stabbing person to death

The Delhi Police has arrested a man for allegedly killing a 37-year-old man to death in front of his wife and 10-year-old daughter outside his house in Aman Vihar area of Rohini. Police said that the incident took place on June 11.

"The incident was caught on CCTV camera, where three person were seen stabbing the man to death infront of his wife and a daughter," said police.

The deceased was identified as Bharat Bhushan. Police said that one of the accused, Mukesh (31), a resident of Delhi's Kirari Sulemen Nagar, has been arrested in connection with the killing, while his accomplices —Deepak and Suraj are absconding.

According to BK Singh, Additional Commissioner of Police, Crime, at around 11.40 pm, Mukesh along with Deepak and his brother Suraj reached the victim's house in Aman Vihar.

"They called him out and an argument ensued between them. Deepak and Mukesh caught hold of the victim, while Suraj stabbed him multiple times in front of his wife and daughter. Deepak kept on kicking the victim even after he had fallen down and later  left the spot on their two-wheelers," said the Additional CP.

"The victim was rushed to the hospital where he was declared brought dead. A case of murder, was registered at Aman Vihar police station," said the Additional CP.

"After, our team received information on Saturday that Mukesh would be coming to Japanese Park, Rohini, sometime in the evening. A trap was laid and Mukesh was apprehended. During interrogation, he disclosed that he along with Suraj and Deepak had killed Bharat Bhushan for revenge," he said.

"Mukesh, is a taxi driver. He also runs Satta in Kirari and Begumpur area. Suraj and his brother Deepak are his partners. Interrogation revealed that Bhushan was a regular visitor at these satta rounds," he said.

"According to Mukesh, Bhushan would often get into fights under the influence of alcohol. About two weeks ago, a group of boys had assaulted Bhushan and he blamed Deepak and Suraj for the attack," said the Additional CP.

"However, on the evening of June 11, Bhushan and his friends had intercepted Mukesh and Deepak near Sector 20, Rohini. They had thrashed the duo before letting them go. On returning home, Deepak, Suraj and Mukesh hatched a plan to take revenge," he added.
