District Legal Service Authority (DLSA) UT in collaboration with Child Friendly City Initiative (Don Bosco Navjeevan Society) conducted a door to door campaign on ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat’ at Dhanas under the guidance of Justice Jaswant Singh, Justice, Punjab & Haryana High Court cum Executive Chairman, SLSA, UT wherein 100 families were administered pledge on non addiction.
Justice Jaswant launched a program titled “Nai Disha” under NALSA (Legal Services to the Victims of Drug Abuse and Eradication of Drug Menace), Scheme, 2015. Simultaneously a campaign of Nasha Mukt Bharat has been launched by the Government of India. Department of Social Welfare is the nodal department in Chandigarh. All programs under Nai Disha about the harmful effect of drug use will also be towards the national campaign.
Nisha, leader of Children Parliament, Dhanas led the drive with an awareness rally on “say no to drugs and yes to life” and went door to door to get the pledge card signed by the local residents and appealed them to say no drugs and yes to life.
