Vigilance Awareness Week at ECR

Like every year, the Central Vigilance Commission has decided to celebrate Vigilance Awareness Week this year from 27 October to 02 November 2020 with the theme "Vigilant India, Prosperous India". In this series, under the Vigilance Awareness Week -2020 in the East Central Railway, General Manager's Office, the pledge of honesty and integrity for the eradication of corruption in public life was administered to officials and employees by Lalit Chandra Trivedi, General Manager, East Central Railway and Northeast Railway. During the welcome address on the occasion, Neeraj Aggarwal, Senior Deputy General Manager and Chief Vigilance Officer, East Central Railway, while emphasizing honesty in lifestyle, described corruption in public life as a social evil.

Vigilance oath at CMPDI

The inaugural session cum pledge taking ceremony for Vigilance Awareness Week-2020 was organized at CMPDIL. Pushkar, GM (Vigilance) welcomed all the officials present in the pledge taking ceremony. Sumeet Kumar Sinha, CVO, CMPDIL addressed the gathering and stressed upon the role of citizen in eradicating corruption by raising their voice against corruption. Shekhar Saran, CMD, CMPDIL administered the pledge to all officials of CMPDIL (HQ) and Regional Institute –III and wished for successful completion of Vigilance Awareness Week. On this occasion K.K. Mishra, Director (T/ES); Rabindra Nath Jha, Director (T/RDT);  AK Rana, Director (T/P&D) & SK Gomasta, Director (T/CRD) were present. The Pledge taking ceremony was attended by all Head of Departments of CMPDIL HQ and Regional Institute –III.

Pledge under Vigilance Awareness Week

As a part of the ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ being observed by Indian Railways from October 27 to November 2, Divisional Railway Manager Neeraj Ambashta administered the integrity pledge stating “I will follow the rules of honesty and law in all walks of life, neither will I accept bribe nor give it, I will work in public interest with transparency and honesty and I will report any incident of corruption to the appropriate agency” to all the officials and employees on October 27. ADRM  (Infra) Ajit Singh Yadav, ADRM (Operations) MM Pandit, Chief Medical Superintendent GC Hembrom and others were present on the occasion.

Vigilance awareness week at Canara Bank

The Canara Bank Ranchi circle today launched the vigilance awareness week. The vigilance awareness week will run till November 2 under which all the bank branches staff and officers took oath. This year the Central Vigilance committee has selected Vigilant India Vibrant India theme. On the occasion, bank GM/Circle head Hitesh Goyal addressing the workers and staff urged the staff and officers to be more vigilant against corruption. He also urged the staff and officers to bring transparency in work.

Vigilance Awareness Week at SAIL

In SAIL Ranchi Units, the Vigilance Awareness Week started with its utmost spirit by all employees of SAIL, taking Integrity Pledge today at 11 am. Keeping in view the Covid related guidelines the pledge was administered through online mode by Kamakshi Raman, ED (HRD) in Hindi and Kaushal Kumar Jha, ED (SSO) in English. The messages from President, Vice President, Prime Minister and Central Vigilance Commission were read out by Shri Ajay Arora, ED I/c (RDCIS), Dr. Santosh Kumar, ED (RDCIS), Jagdish Arora, ED (CET) and Prashant Kumar, ACVO respectively. The programme was co-ordinated by A.K. Verma, DGM (Vigilance). This year Central Vigilance Commission has set the focus on the theme “Vigilant India, Prosperous India”.

State of art technology in coal exploration

The implementation of State of Art Modern Technology, such as 2D/3D Seismic Survey in coal exploration will prove to be a major milestone. This initiative of Ministry of Coal is in line with the vision of the Prime Minister for “Atmnirbhar Bharat” so as to fulfil the energy requirement of the country. With this intention, CMPDI- the technical arm of Coal India Limited, introduces 2D/3D Seismic Survey in coal exploration under the guidance of Ministry of Coal, Govt. of India. In comparison to the previously used technology of drilling by deploying drill machines which is comparatively more time consuming, this new technology will fasten the growth of exploration in coal blocks which is also in synchronisation with Govt. of India’s Open Acreage Policy for offering coal blocks to the investors. With this intention, CMPDI has awarded work for 2D Seismic Survey in Kartala & Puta-Parogia blocks and 3D Seismic in Taulipali and Rajadahi blocks through outsourcing. These four blocks will cover about 168 sq km in totality with a total coal resource of more than 10 billion tonne 10091Mt. The total cost of project is Rs.106 crores.

Vigilance Awareness Week at MECON

Atul Bhatt, CMD MECON administered Integrity Pledge in Hindi to the employees, which was followed by pledge in English administered by R.H. Juneja, Director (Finance). S.K. Verma, Director (Commercial), A.K. Agrawal, Director (Technical) and U.K. Kedia, CVO were also present on the occasion and read out messages of Honorable President, Honorable Vice-President, Prime Minister, Honorable Minister of State (PMO) and that from the Central Vigilance Commission. Later, in the afternoon, UK Kedia ,CVO MECON gave a presentation on "Preventive Vigilance Concepts' virtually.

Vigilance Awareness week at DVC

As on directive of Central vigilance commission and DVC, the Bokaro thermal power plant organised Vigilance Awareness week at the power plant premises here on Tuesday with a view to spread the message laying on preventive vigilance and driving home the point that vigilance should not be seen in isolation but as a tool to achieve good governance and better operational results. At the opening ceremony in BTPS the week was inaugurated by Dy General Manager of BTPS, Abhimanyu Prasad Singh (Adm.),Dy CE Sunil Prasad, Kamta Prasad, Adl Director (HR) Arun Kumar, Neeraj Sinha and others officials by lighting up lamp and also took pledge during the Vigilance Awareness Week .

CRPF- Railway personnel vow to fight corruption

Personnel from154th battalion of CRPF stationed at Pradhankhanta in Dhanbad on Tuesday took oath of fighting corrupt in the country at a function held at battalion headquarters. Commanding officer Achutananda gave them the oath of fighting corrupt.  Officers and Jawans of the battalion took oath.during the ceremony. In a separate function held at divisional railway headquarters  here divisional railway Manager Asish Bansal presided over the function of Vigilance awareness week .after a Prabhat pheri by scout and guide the DRM pledged with senior officers and employees to fight corruption at all levels in public life. Senior railway officers from different areas including Barkakana area besides different departments of division joined the oath taking ceremony via zoom app.

BSF holds integrity pledge ceremony

BSF training center and school and subsidiary training center Meru ( five kilometers far from the district headquarter of Hazaribag district)  has organized the integrity pledge ceremony on the office ground. The ceremony was headed by the center commandant IG Ravi Gandhi. The officers and jawans were voluntarily uphold the highest standard ethical conduct honestly during the pledge taking ceremony. On this occasion during the address to the jawans the commandant IG Gandhi said that the Government of India in the year 1999 declares that the week comprising 31 October every week should be observed as the Vigilance Awareness Week, because the 31st October is the birthday Saradar Vallabh Bhai Patel. He further said that according to the guidelines of the Chief Vigilance commissioner, this event is organized at all Govt. institutions.

Felicitation of winners by SAIL

Ajay Arora ED,I/C (RDCIS) felicitated the winners of a story writing competition held on the theme “ SAIL creates meaningful difference in people’s lives “  on 27/10/2020 by giving them certificates and mementos  from  SALEM STEEL. Arora congratulated the winners for their creative endeavours and urged them to motivate & inspire   their colleagues and near & dear to participate in this kind of competitions in future as such competition intend to inspire others towards big achievements. The winners of the competition from Ranchi units are Rajib Baneerjee (CET) 2ND in English category, Manoj Kumar (SSO) SPECIAL CONSOLATION PRIZE in Hindi category, Ananya Banerjee D/O of Indranil Banerjee(RDCIS)  other consolation prize in English category and  R.K Jha(CET) other consolation prize in Hindi category.
