Achievements of the Chhattisgarh government’s flagship scheme Narva Garva Ghurwa aur Bari (NGGB) were highlighted in the Central India International Science Festival (CIISF) 2020.
The Festival was jointly organized by the Union Ministries of Science and Technology as well as Earth Sciences and non-profit body Vigyan Bharti from December 22 to 25 in virtual mode from New Delhi, a press release said.
On December 23, a ‘State Science and Technology Ministers Conclave’ was held where science and technology ministers from different states took part.
The 32 science and technology councils located in states were divided into six zones. Every zone detailed the notable works carried out in the science and technology sector in their respective states.
Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh were in the central zone. The representation of both states was done by Mudit Singh, Director General of Chhattisgarh Science and Technology Council and the Chhattisgarh Regional Science and Society.
In the presentation, Singh spoke about steps taken for universalization of science, works on research and development, intellectual property rights and remote sensing. He also gave information about the proposed schemes.
Notable works carried out under NGGB were also highlighted in the presentation.
