Friday, 17 July 2020 | Staff Reporter | RAIPUR

In view of Covid-19, the Chhattisgarh government has decided to change the examination system of open school. Now students have to submit assignments where they appear for the written exam, officials said on Thursday.

Students of Higher Secondary (Class 12) will be handed out assignments from the exam centres between July 22 and 29. Those appearing in Class 10 exams will get assignments between August 4 and 9, the Secretary in the Chhattisgarh State Open School, Prof V.K. Goyal, was quoted as saying in a press release.

He said students must submit assignments at the exam centre within two days after receiving them.

According to the Secretary, assignments will be handed out and accepted on Sundays too. Those who don't take assignments during their decided days will be marked absent. Also, non-submission of assignment within two days will be also considered absent, he said.

The two days for submission of assignment will include government holidays. The exam centres will follow guidelines to avoid coronavirus outbreak. People visiting the centres must follow social distancing and wear masks, he added.
