The Kamla Nagar police have arrested two fraudsters including a woman involved in availing loan using forged documents and preparing forged documents.
Police said that the accused Anjana Singh (40) who had availed loans of Rs 50000 each from three banks using forged documents and later obtained waiver by providing fake death certificate of her husband.
From Anjana three Identity Cards were recovered each with a different address and husband. After availing loan in the name of Self Help Group all the loans were closed using the fake death certificate.
Anjana was also wanted in a fraud case in which she prepared forged documents of ownership of house who was owned by a NRI woman and two of his aides were nabbed while she remained absconding.
Later in the investigation regarding the forged and fake documents when the accused was grilled she spilled beans and revealed Vijay Baba used to help her in documents and has provided the prepared documents.
During the investigation police tracked Vijay from Hanumanganj area. Vijay alias Baba tried to pressurised police initially as he works as RTI activist and had filled RTI application in several departments. He has served jail in the past for fraud.
Earlier Vijay has filed RTI against SHO of Jehangirabad who caught Vijay's fraud. Police recovered fake stamp seals of police station incharge, BMC office, fake documents of Tehsil office, forged certificates of different offices.
