Gold was seized again at the Biju Patnaik International Airport here while it was being smuggled into the State on Monday.
Air Intelligence personnel seized 215 gram of gold from a passenger, who arrived here by an AirAsia flight from Malaysia.
During a search of the passenger, a native of Tamil Nadu, at the airport upon his arrival, the Air Intelligence officials seized 48 gold pieces, hidden in a handbag, from him. The estimated price of the seized gold pieces would be around Rs 9 lakh, said an official.
