After donating his three months’ salary, Kandhamal BJD MP and KIIT and KISS founder Achyuta Samanta has pledged Rs 2.5 crore from his MPLAD funds to support the State Government’s efforts in fighting the coronavirus.
In a letter, Dr Samanta urged the Kandhamal Collector for a one-time dispensation of Rs 2.50 crore from his MPLAD funds for urchase of testing and screening kit and other medical equipment for the districts of Kandhamal, Boudh, Ganjam and Nayagarh to bolster the anti-COVIID-19 battle.
Rs 110 lakh would be spent for Kandhamal district, Rs 70 lakh for Boudh snd Rs 35 lakh each for Ganjam and Nayagarh.
