The Sadar police on Friday nabbed Sk Sarfaraj alias Jaan from the Bhubaneswar airport as he is the prime accused in a firing case of Babuli alias Bibekananda Moharana, president of Tinimuhani Bazar Committee and district coordinator of Dharma Jagarana Sena, on July 13 night last year.
Notably, Jaan, who evaded arrest and was hiding at Saudi Arab after committing the crime, on Thursday returned to Bhubaneswar by air. While he landed in Bhubaneswar, the airfield police informed the matter to the Kendrapada SP. As a result, the Sadar police with the help of special police squad rushed to Bhubaneswar and took him to the Sadar police station to conduct inquiry.
