Former Chief Minister and leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) parliamentary party in Assembly has said that he is not going to beg from Jharkhand assembly speaker for the status of Leader of Opposition in Jharkhand Assembly.
Talking to media persons in Dhanbad on Thursday Marandi said, when the election commission has accepted the merger of his old party into BJP and he voted during Rajya Sabha elections as a member of BJP legislative party on approval of Election Commission nothing more needs to be done to clarify the stand . The refusal of CPSingh to attend the meeting of all parties called by the Speaker also has an indicator of party line on this particular issue, said Marandi.
Criticising the Hemant Government Marandi said, the government is facing internal contradictions among the ruling partners thus the chief minister has no time to improve the functioning of government. The government failed to provide jobs to the migrant labourers, who were brought to Jharkhand by special trains and aeroplanes.
