Singapore recorded 21 new COVID-19 cases, mostly foreign workers living in dormitories, on Tuesday, taking the number of coronavirus infections to 57,627 in the country, according to the health ministry.
Among the new cases, 20 are foreign workers living in dormitories and one is an imported infection who had been placed on Stay-Home-Notice (SHN), said the Ministry of Health (MOH).
There was no case from the community, it said.
The nine imported cases, reported on Monday, came from India and Iran between September 9-15. All had been placed on 14-day SHN, the ministry said.
Sixty patients were discharged from hospital and community isolation facilities on Monday, taking the total recoveries from the disease to 57,241.
Thirty-six confirmed cases of COVID-19 are in hospitals while 302 are isolated and cared for at community facilities for mild symptoms or some who are clinically well but still test positive for coronavirus, the MOH said.
To date, 27 patients have died due to COVID-19 related complications in the country.
