‘Definition of a heroine has evolved’
Actor Bhumi Pednekar feels the definition of a heroine has changed, with the audience open to stories that they can relate to.
“All the films I have been a part of or the roles I have played are all so different from each other. They may have few overlapping similarities like for example my characters tell the stories of women in the heartlands,” Bhumi said.
“I am proud of the cinema that I have done so far. It has helped me connect to my audience. In today's time the definition of a heroine has undergone change and evolved,” she added.
‘Candle showcases a glimpse of my journey so far, which has been full of surprises, struggles, celebrations and soul-searching. One thing that ties this journey together is love and hope that everything happens for the right reasons. I hope it motivates my fans burn brightly no matter what obstacles they face.’

Actor Varun Sharma, popular as Choocha in the Fukrey films, is trying to expand his linguistic skills. He is learning Spanish during the lockdown.
“It is difficult to keep yourself busy all the time, so I thought why not use this time to explore a new skill. Hence, I am learning a new language. I always wanted to learn a new language and finally I got some time,” Varun said.
He has also been learning painting with tips from his mother.
On the work front, Varun will be sharing screen space with Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor in Roohi Afzana.
‘I was anxious about giving birth’
Actor America Ferrera has admitted that she was very nervous and anxious about giving birth during the Coronavirus pandemic.
Earlier this month, Ferrera, popular for her role in the show Ugly Betty, welcomed her second child, a daughter Lucia Marisol.
In an episode of Katie's Crib podcast, she confessed that she had to cut down on news intake during pregnancy in order to not panic.
“I just know I have to put up my filter because I don't have the emotional capacity to let that in,” said she.
