The salary or remuneration for the period of statewide lockdown implemented in April 2021 will be paid to the contractual employees working in various departments, state undertakings etc. in the state, employees appointed through contingency sources etc. Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot has taken this sensitive decision to provide financial support to the contract workers in view of the adverse circumstances arising out of the Corona pandemic and the lockdown.
Shri Gehlot has approved the proposal of the Finance Department in this regard. According to the proposal, due to the large number of contract workers unable to attend the workplaces due to lockdown and other restrictions, their salary or remuneration etc. are not being paid for this period. Now the Chief Minister has given consent to pay the salary to the said personnel.With this decision, a large number of contract workers, casual and other employees appointed by other sources will get the benefit of remuneration.
