Dengue, malaria cases on rise in Aligarh

Dengue and Malaria are spreading rapidly in the district. 18 new dengue patients have been reported today. So far the number of dengue patients has reached 140. At the same time, 117 people have been suffering from malaria so far. 233 fever patients reached to major government hospitals in the city for treatment while 92 patients are being admitted and given treatment.

In the lab of Malkhan Singh District Hospital, the report of dengue of 18 people has come positive in 76 ELISA tests. In this 44 samples were taken at Malkhan Singh District Hospital and 23 samples were taken at Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Joint Hospital. This is the highest number of single day rise this year. So far 140 people have been affected by dengue and 117 people by Malaria in the district.

There is an influx of fever patients in government and private hospitals. In Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Joint Hospital, 1208 people reached OPD, in which 173 people were suffering from fever. There are 79 fever patients admitted in the ward.

In the OPD of Malkhan Singh District Hospital, 2120 new patients arrived, in which 60 were fever patients. 13 people suffering from fever have been admitted.

Anti-larva and chemicals are being sprayed around the houses of dengue patients by the Health Department and Municipal Corporation. Fogging is being done on the basis of roster. District Malaria Officer Dr. Rahul Kulshrestha told that the patients of fever are being monitored by conducting door-to-door check-ups.

Dr. Ramkishan, CMS, Malkhan Singh District Hospital told that all kinds of cases are coming in the hospital. Few cases of dengue have been reported. Apart from typhoid, viral cases are coming. The patients are being given proper treatment. Not more cases are coming from any particular area. Efforts are being made to provide all possible treatment to the patients. Recruitment is done when needed.
