Jiya’s fashion statement

Sony SAB's show Kaatelal & Sons, the story of two sisters on the journey of unenduring their dreams continues to entertain the audiences with its motivating and engaging storyline. Jiya Shankar who essays the role of dabangg Susheela is winning the hearts of the viewers with her powerful performance and unique style. In the upcoming episodes the viewers will watch the striking sisters Garima and Susheela as they lie to Dharampal about their shop’s ownership so that they can get some extra time to come up with a plan.

Jiya Shankar in a candid conversation revealed that she is a fashion enthusiast and loves to keep herself updated about the latest fashion trends. Susheela aka Jiya Shankar shared her love for fashion, the trends she swears by and how she keeps herself on top of her fashion game.

Jiya Shankar talking about her love for fashion said: “I have a been fashion enthusiast since I was in school. I believe Fashion is the armour to survive the reality of everyday life. Since I was young, I used to always prefer style over fashion as I believe feeling comfortable in your own skin is very important to carry anything well. I remember I used to own this dress which was given to me by my mother it holds a very exceptional place in my heart as she especially stitched it for me. In past, there have been many trends that I have followed. From hoops to chokers, skater skirts, and many more. Even my profession as an artist demands the know-how of the ongoing fashion trends because whenever we attend any events, it is imperative for an artist to know what they would like to wear and what their fans would also like them to carry. If we are talking about fashion not talking about Sonam Kapoor it would be a crime she is the one who changed the meaning for fashion for all the girls out there.”

She further adds: “I always keep a track on all the latest fashion trends in India and around the globe. It is like my daily ritual to read online fashion magazines. Keeping in touch with my love for fashion is a stress buster for me. I might not like all the trends which are making headlines but I still I read about them to keep myself informed. Fashion is a form of expression and I would always continue to express myself through my own fashion statement. In future I wish to start my own fashion label and pursue this passion of mine more diligently.”

Dose of motivation

As the competition heats up in Colors’ much-loved Dance Deewane, some lucky contestants are in for a little surprise. The contestants have been impressing the judges week after week with some breathtakingly spectacular performances. To reward their hard work, two lucky contestants will get to connect with their families over a video call.

Somansh from Generation 1 was the first lucky guy to get the surprise call from his father and the two had a great time catching up. To make the surprise even more sweeter, Somansh’s father also made a special appearance on the show. The young dancer hugged his father and could not hold back his tears. Interestingly, Somansh believes that his father is his lucky charm so his meeting definitely bring him more luck.

The next contestant was Pallavi from Generation 3 who got into an emotional video call with her husband Vitthal right after her performance. Vitthal confessed on the call that he was not always around as he was busy working and apologised to her. Vitthal motivated Pallavi and told her: “I am really proud of you. I know I have been self-centred and I could not give you enough time. But you are completely the opposite of that. You are someone who always takes people. I want to apologize to you for giving you so little time. You are now setting an example for other women who want to live their dreams.”

Pallavi was in tears on hearing this and thanked the judges profusely for this much-needed boost of positivity.

Like several people across India, Juhi was also shocked a month or so when she found out that her mother had tested positive for COVID-19. Though she has recovered, the journey wasn't easy and with people across the country stressed about their families or friends who are suffering from the illness, Juhi shared anecdotes from her own COVID scare at home. In order to help people in looking after their family members suffering from COVID-19, she shared a few do's and don'ts to keep in mind.

“I would advise everyone to keep an oximeter handy, so that you can keep a track of the patient's oxygen level and if it drops, then you should immediately consult your doctor. One more important thing to do is to keep the patient hydrated, you should see to it that they have at least 10 glasses of warm or normal water along with a glass or two of fresh fruit juice, either orange or lemon juice which are rich in Vitamin C. Coconut water and buttermilk can be given too. Don’t give them oily food or canned items ”
