Amidst a buzz doing the rounds on social media platforms that the outpatient department (OPD) services at the AIIMS Bhubaneswar were suspended from Saturday, the Director of the premier medical institution Dr Gitanjali Batmanabane has cleared the air.She said that some messages in this regard being circulated on many WhatsApp groups are not true. “This is false news. The circular which is supposed to have been sent by the Joint Medical Superintendent is a hoax. He has never signed anything like this,” she said.
There are some reports in media, including TV channels, with photograph of the AIIMS Bhubaneswar that the institution has suspended its OPD services till further orders.
Dr Batmanabane said, “I want all public to know that we have not closed our OPD services as of now.”
