The cycle on rent scheme of AICTL Indore is not visible in Indore since the year it was started on November 1, 2014 on Madhya Pradesh foundation day with a I bike scheme, which was inaugurated by the then UAD Minister Kailash Vijayvergiya, then IDA Chairman Shankar Lalwani and then mayor Krishna Murari Moghe.
Interestingly, Sandeep Soni was the CEO of the AICTL at the launch of the scheme and after 7 years, he continues to be in the same position.
The AICTL has decided a rent of Rs 10 for one hour and additional 15 minutes as bonus for cycles 40 cycles were started during the inauguration of this scheme in 2014 and 15 stands were opened at different point of the Indore city. However, there are only a few takers for the scheme, in lack of publicity.
When The Pioneer contacted the publicity officer of Indore AICTL Mala Thakur for cycles on rent not visible in Indore she told that CEO Sandeep Soni will answer this question and when tried to contacte Sandeep Soni on phone he did not pick up the phone.
