The Uttar Pradesh government claimed that a record 1014.53 MT of oxygen was supplied throughout the state during the last 24 hours. Besides, 96.97 MT of oxygen was also supplied through air separators units under self-production.
A total of 27.9 metric tonnes of oxygen was supplied through cylinders in the last 24 hours to 4,105 patients of home isolation.
Giving a detailed account of the supply throughout the state in the last 24 hours, Additional Chief Secretary, Home, Awanish Kumar Awasthi said on Wednesday that 619.59 MT of oxygen was supplied to the re-fillers by the Department of Food Safety and Drug Administration.
“Also, 302.62 MT of oxygen was supplied to medical colleges and institutions in the state and 92.32 MT of oxygen was supplied directly to private hospitals by suppliers. Thus, a record 1014.53 MT of oxygen was supplied to government and private hospitals across the state in the last 24 hours,” he said.
Awasthi said that 113.13 MT oxygen was suppled to Kanpur, 65.71 MT to Varanasi, 49.58 MT to Prayagraj, 252.56 MT to Meerut, 56.20 MT to Moradabad, 77.03 MT to Agra and 51.37 MT to Gorakhpur. Around 136.20 MT of oxygen was supplied to Lucknow in the last 24 hours.
Online monitoring of oxygen supply system was being done through a special control room set up in Home Department to fulfill the demand of oxygen in the state.
Senior officials and employees of Home Department, Food Safety and Drug Administration, Medical Education, Medical Health and Family Welfare and Transport Department are working continuously for 24 hours in coordination.
