11 deaths, 184 new cases reported on Tuesday

The death toll from the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) in Uttarakhand mounted to 1589 on Tuesday with the state health department reporting the death of 11 patients. The department also reported 184 fresh cases of the disease on the day which increased the tally of the disease to 93961. The authorities discharged 276 patients from different hospitals on the day after their recovery from the disease.  A total 88472 patients have recovered from the disease so far and the recovery percentage now stands at 93.57 and the sample positivity rate is 4.87 percent.

Four patients of the Covid-19 were reported dead at Sushila Tiwari Government Hospital,Haldwani on Tuesday. Two patients each were reported dead at Kailash hospital Dehradun and the Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital Dehradun on Tuesday. One patient each succumbed to death at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh, Mahant Indiresh hospital Dehradun and Ujala hospital Kashipur on the day.

The  health department reported 89 new patients of the disease from Dehradun, 43 from Nainital, 18 from Haridwar, nine from Udham Singh Nagar, six from Pauri, four each from Almora and Uttarkashi, three from Tehri, two each from Bageshwar, Chamoli and Rudraprayag and one each from Champawat and Pithoragarh.  Out of the 276 patients discharged from different hospitals on the day, 100 are from Dehradun, 52 from Nainital, 38 from Pauri and 16 each from Uttarkashi and Udham Singh Nagar.

Uttarakhand now has 2643 active cases of the disease. Dehradun is at continuing to remain at top of the table of active cases with 673 cases while with 517 active cases Nainital is at second spot. Haridwar is at third position with 316 cases, Almora has 178, Tehri 156, Bageshwar 145, Udham Singh Nagar 121, Pauri 108, Chamoli 102, Uttarkashi 101, Pithoragarh 100 and Champawat 73 active cases of the disease. With 53 active cases of Covid-19, Rudraprayag is at the bottom of the table of active cases of Covid-19.
