A 17-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at her house in Balaji Mandir premises under Piplani police station on Saturday.
Police said that the deceased Shivani Shrivas committed suicide at her house.
In the initial investigation the family members told police that deceased left studies after class 8 and used to remain at home. On Saturday, her father and elder brother left for work and in the afternoon her mother left for buying grocery and when she returned Shivani was found hanging.
Police were informed and body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and started further investigation.
The reason of suicide remained unknown and would be revealed after the statements of the family members would be recorded.
Meanwhile, depressed over not having work, a 26-year-old mason committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at his house in Arjun Nagar under TT Nagar police station area on Saturday.
Police said that the deceased, Raj Singh, committed suicide at his house. The deceased used to work for contractor involved in tiling.
During lockdown he lost work and financial condition worsen and which forced him to take extreme step.
The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and started further investigation.
