Capital city Bhubaneswar on Tuesday registered 223 fresh Covid-19 positive cases. With this, the total tally increased to 1,00,607. Out of the new cases, 177 were local contacts and 46 quarantine cases. The local contacts included 14 cases in Nayapalli, followed by nine in Patia, seven each in Dumduma and Khandagiri, six in Old Town, five each in Sundarpada and Unit-9 and four in Sundarpada. The active cases in city stood at 2,595.Meanwhile, 21 more patients succumbed to disease in city, mounting total death toll to 837. However, 164 persons recovered on the day, increasing the total recoveries to 97,154.
