Sunday, 28 February 2021 | Staff Reporter | Bhopal

Three-day National Research Seminar on Declassified Castes of Madhya Pradesh is being held at Tribal Museum.

On second day of the seminar Ashwini Sharma said that the research should be dedicated to research. If we are doing research, then we should observe from every point of view, we should not only depend on Google knowledge but should get information by going to books and grassroots. We can get this information only when we become so loyal to them that they can tell their mind to us.

While speaking on the subject of the liberated castes, he said that these tribes are nomadic but they also have scientific knowledge of many things like the women of Banjara society wear bangles based on the arts of the moon and do not wear jewelery on Amavasya day. The living of the tribes speaks of their life, traditions and culture.

Giving a special statement in the same session, Pravin Gugnani said that the theory of economics is that transfer gives progress to a person, but it is necessary to know here that these castes were nomad or created or under which circumstances they became nomad.

The session was conducted by Kailash Mandlekar and gratitude was expressed by Shubham Chauhan.

Tikamani Patwari,  said that the researchers should work among the tribes. At the present time, the traditional occupation of tribes has been influenced by the enforcement of laws. Researchers should work in the direction of what is the original tradition of tribes, what are the main reasons for the change in their original tradition and what are its effects.

In the second session of the seminar, Gabbar Singh, Bharti Hada, Swati Shukla, Mahesh Kumar Sharma, Kusum Singh, Vasudev Singh Jadaun, Shailendra Sharan, Amitabh Pandey, Archana Sharma, Mohan Narwatiya presented the research paper. The session was conducted by Sunil Sahu.
