35-yr-old man who was taking bath in waterful quarry drowns

A 35-year-old man drowned at waterful quarry at Kajlikheda village under Kolar police station area on Tuesday.

Police said that a man drowned at a quarry and police were informed after body was fished out by his nephew. The deceased was identified as Lal Singh who drowned when he had gone to take bath at quarry.

After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered. The police have started further investigation.

The post mortem report it awaited which could help in revealing details behind the death. Police said other possibility than accident of the deceased could not be ruled out and all possibilities would be investigated in the further investigation.

Meanwhile, a 36-year-old man committed suicide by hanging with the tree at Fatak road Bairagarh on Tuesday; police have started investigation.

According to the police the deceased Rajesh Meena was found hanging and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.

The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation. Police said that the reason which forced the deceased to commit suicide would be investigated.
