Bhadrak activist holds Neighbourhood Day

Tuesday, 19 October 2021 | PNS | BHADRAK

Looking at the importance of neighbours in our day-to-day life, human rights activist and Supreme Court lawyer Radhakanta Tripathy has been celebrating the Universal Neighbourhood Day since October 15, 2016.

The main objective behind such celebration is to spread the awareness on how to maintain good neighbourhood practice for our socialisation in the age of social media and digital age. Besides the information technology, there is a need to build a healthy relationship with our immediate neighbours. This year the celebration was held in the Talagopa Bindha Gram Panchayat under Tihidi Panchayat Samiti of Bhadrak district. Among others, Sarpanch representative Aditya Jena, social worker Jagannath Kar, Jayanti, Bijaya, Anjali , Philips, and Kamdev took part in discussion.

Hundreds of people from three neighbouring panchayats participated in the celebration and took pledge to maintain the neighbourhood in their best possible ways.
