The Bharatiya Janata Party has asked all its frontal organisations to appoint office-bearers by the end of August so that the party activities could be streamlined at the village level.
In a meeting of the newly-appointed coordinators of BJP here on Monday, party state president Swatantra Dev Singh said that formalities for formation of organisational units should be completed by August.
Singh, while addressing the party leaders, said that in view of the upcoming assembly elections, the role of newly-appointed coordinators was very important.
“Work has to be done to connect every section of society with the BJP so that the benefits of schemes of both the Central and state governments could be availed,” he said.
He said the achievement of the Narendra Modi-Yogi Adityanath governments had to be taken to the people. He said, “The opposition is issueless and that is why it is trying to mislead people by telling lies. In such a situation, it is the responsibility of all of us to expose the lies of the opposition.”
Earlier, BJP state general secretary (organisation) Sunil Bansal told the office-bearers about the action plan for the frontal organisations. He said that the people associated with the new responsibilities should keep their direct communication with the public.
“In BJP, post is not important. It is the spirit of service which is important,” he said.
The meeting started with the lighting of the lamp and recital of Vande Mataram. Floral tributes were made to the martyrs of Kargil War and a two-minute silence was observed to pay homage to the brave sons of the country.
