In a bizarre incident, the robbers not only broke into the house of a senior official in Dewas and stole his belongings, but also left a note inside his home.
The house of a deputy collector was broken into and the miscreants took several items from his residence. Besides, the thieves also left a note taunting the senior officer and his wealth. The thieves, after breaking and entering the deputy collector’s house, left a note which read, “Jab paise nahi they toh lock nahi karna tha na collector (If there wasn't any money in the house, you shouldn't have locked it, collector).”
The thieves robbed the house of deputy collector Trilochan Gaur, whose residence was located in the civil lines area of Dewas. The police have launched a formal investigation in this matter.
The Madhya Pradesh officer’s house was located between the bungalows of a lawmaker and Dewas Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Pradeep Soni and just 100-meter away from the residence of the Superintendent of Police, and thus, is being seen as an open challenge to the authorities.
Trilochan Gaur was reportedly not in his house for the past 15-20 days. When he returned, he found his house broken into with his personal belongings scattered across the floor. He also reported that some cash and silver from his house was missing.
According to the police, Rs 30,000 in cash and some jewellery was stolen from the government residence of Trilochan Gaur, who is currently posted as the SDM of Khategaon. The exact time of the incident is not known yet.
