Car mows down 55-year-old man

A 55-year old man was mowed down by speeding car while crossing road at Lalghati Ratua village in the evening on Wednesday; Gunga police have started investigation.

According to the police, a man was injured severely after he was hit by a speeding car while crossing road in the evening and hospital and was rushed to the hospital where he died during treatment. The deceased was identified as Shayamlal Rawat who hailed from Lalghati Ratua village.

During the investigation police found that the deceased used to work as agriculture labourer and was hit near his village. The deceased was hit while crossing the road and sustained severe head injuries due to the impact of the accident which proved fatal for him.

Police said that the search has been started of the errant driver who escaped with the vehicle from the spot. The police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and have started further investigation.

Meanwhile, a 19-year-old youth died after been hit by speeding train at Subhah Nagar railway tracks on Wednesday; it was an accident said police.

Police were informed after a youth identified as Salman Khan was found dead at railway tracks in the evening on Wednesday and on the receipt a police team reached the spot and started investigation.

After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and the police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
