Centre discussed every issue with farmers: Tomar

Commenting on the repeal of three agri laws, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar here on Friday hailed his Government saying the Centre discussed each and every issue with the farmers.

Tomar was in Bhopal on Friday to take part in the BJP state executive meet held in the city.

On the sidelines of the event, he was asked to comment on the repeal of three agriculture laws as announced by the Centre recently said, “Previous Governments used lathi to tackle such issues but we discussed each and every issue of farm laws with the farmers.”

"We will reach out to the public with the manner in which we had an extensive dialogue with the farmers (on farm laws)," added Tomar who was at the forefront in talks with the farmers over three contentious farm laws which the Centre repealed days ago after months of logjam with the farmers.

Addressing the meet, party state head VD Sharma said that we will be moving towards mission 2023 with an aim of increasing our vote share by 10 per cent. He remembered contributions of leaders like Kushabhau Thackrey, Vijaya Raje Scindia and others in strengthening the party base in MP as elsewhere.

The party has discussed the mission 2023 plan for Assembly polls and as part of the plan, the booth vistaraks will be dispatched to mandal and district levels in next few weeks to reach out to the public with the achievements of the public. Besides, the party will continue with training of party cadre in the first two weeks of December. Besides a political resolution was adopted in the meeting in which the party highlighted fight against covid19, vaccination, swachh bharat awards MP cities and also took a swipe on the Congress party for misleading the public ahead of polls.

Sources said that in the meeting it was decided that in every election from now on, the party would make efforts to win over 51 per cent votes in each booth.

At the end of the programme, the Chief Minister announced to rename Minto Hall, after BJP's late leader Kushabhau Thakre. It will be known as Kushabhau Thakre Hall.
