Wednesday, 15 September 2021 | PNS | Lucknow

Reacting to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appreciation of the Uttar Pradesh government during his speech at the foundation stone laying function of Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University in Aligarh on Tuesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his gratitude to the prime minister for his guidance and support throughout the pandemic through schemes and for providing free Covid vaccines.

“I want to extend my gratitude on behalf of the people of Uttar Pradesh to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his guidance and support to everyone amid Covid pandemic through schemes and coronavirus vaccines. Under Modi ji's leadership, India has presented a model to the world on COVID-19 management. Today, India became successful in vaccinating 75 crore people which in itself is a huge achievement and nearly nine crore people in Uttar Pradesh have been provided vaccines. No other country has supplied as many vaccines,” Yogi said in his address at the function in Aligarh.

Highlighting the state’s progress, the chief minister said, “In February 2018, the prime minister inaugurated UP’s first Investors’ Summit and today the state has been transformed into one of the most investor-friendly destinations in the country. In addition, Uttar Pradesh is providing employment and job opportunities to the youth in their respective residential areas themselves. Under the prime minister’s guidance, the state is fast moving towards growth and development.”
