CM to get ‘Mahatma Phule Samata Award’

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will be conferred the ‘Mahatma Phule Samata Award’ on November 28 on the occasion of Mahatma Phule’s 131st death anniversary in Pune.

All India Mahatma Phule Samata Parishad is hosting the event at Mahatma Phule Monument ‘Samata Bhumi’ in Pune, where National Chairman of the Parishad, Chhagan Bhujbal, will honour Baghel with Phule turban, shawl and memento.

On the occasion of Samata Day, the All India Mahatma Phule Samata Parishad gives away the Mahatma Phule Samata Award to celebrities for making notable contributions in various fields including politics, literature and journalism.

Baghel has been selected for this year’s award for the exceptional work done to ensure justice to the underprivileged sections of the society, a media statement said.
