Weather conditions turned harsher after night temperatures dipped and cold winds were witnessed during the day, foggy conditions were witnessed at several places in the past two days and would prevail in the next 24 hours.
The weather conditions would be moderate after Monday and normal weather conditions would be witnessed in the State. The night temperatures once again dipped to extreme levels and lowest were recorded at 7 degree Celsius in Dhar and Guna on Sunday.
State capital witnessed a dip of 5.3 degree Celsius in the day temperature on Monday while night temperature was at 11.4 degree Celsius in the night on Sunday. The day and night temperatures are likely to be witnessed around 23 and 9 degree Celsius on Tuesday.
The day temperatures have witnessed decrease in the state and pattern has prevailed for the past two days. Among the divisions Ujjain and Gwalior recorded steep dip in the night temperatures in the past 24 hours.
The foggy conditions would maintain harshness in the weather conditions and warning for the same has been issued by Met department for shallow to moderate fog in Umaria, Jabalpur, Raisen, Rajgarh, Bhopal and Panna districts. More intense foggy conditions moderate to dense would be witnessed in Rewa and Chambal divisions and Datia, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur and Gwalior districts.
Jabalpur, Sagar and Hoshangabad divisions recorded temperatures above normal temperature. In the past 24 hours Rewa, Umaria, Jabalpur, Khajuraho, Nowgong, Tikamgarh, Gwalior and Bhopal witnessed moderate to dense fog.
The weather conditions would remain dry across the state in the next 3-4 days.
