Cong to distribute protective gear, kits on Rajiv Gandhi’s death anniversary

Jharkhand pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) on Monday decided to distribute masks and sanitisers to spread messages among people to prevent Covid-19 on May 21 on the death anniversary of former Prime Minister, Late Rajiv Gandhi to observe the day as “Sadbhavana Diwas”.

JPCC Chief-cum-Finance Minister, Rameshwar Oran held a meeting in this regard in presence of JPCC Working President Keshav Mahato Kamlesh, JPCC Spokesperson Alok Kumar Dubey, Lal Kishorenath Shahdeo, Amulya Neeraj Khalkho and Rajesh Gupta.

During the meeting Oraon interacted with all party MPs, MLAs and elected office-bearers and senior leaders of the party on separate phone calls to observe the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi as a ‘Sadbhavna Diwas’ across the State.

On this occasion, he said it is due to Rajiv Gandhi, India witnessed the information revolution and progress in IT sector, which is helping country to tackle global epidemic during the corona transition period.

He said this time, according to the Corona Guidelines, a programme will be organised on the death anniversary of the party offices across the State with simplicity, under which masks and sanitisation will be made available to the people along with distribution of life-saving medicines among the infected in rural areas.

Oraon  also reviewed the relief works being run through the control room from the party headquarters. Due to decreasing infection rates, fewer phone calls are being received now, but until the situation becomes normal, the control room will continue to work, he said.

On this occasion, JPCC Spokesperson Alok Kumar Dubey said that extensive programs are being organized by the party to make people aware of Sadbhavna Divas and for prevention of Corona infection the people will be motivated to take vaccines. .

JPCC Spokesperson, Lal Kishorenath Shahdeo said that there is a lot of enthusiasm among the youth for taking the vaccine and in this task the leaders and workers of the party are cooperating at every level.

JPCC Spokesperson Rajesh Gupta said that till now 30 lakh people have taken the first dose and about seven lakh people have taken the second dose, if there is adequate support from the Central Government, then soon the vaccination campaign will be completed very soon.
