Crime branch has nabbed a 30-year-old drug peddler at 11 Mill area and recovered Cannabis worth Rs 35000 from his possession; accused used to carry the drug and would sold on commission while man accused went absconding and is still at large.
Police said that acting on a tip-off regarding man carrying drugs was nabbed and when his belonging were checked 4.2 kg of Cannabis was recovered from his possession. The accused was identified as Shivam alias Lucky who was carrying drugs in polythene bag.
Lucky told police that Rahul dropped him at the spot with drugs and asked to wait for a bike borne man and talk over phone after man arrives.
Police said that the details of procurement and delivery of the drugs would be searched in the further investigation. After the initial investigation police have registered a case under sections 8 and 20 of the NDPS Act.
During the investigation police have found that Lucky was provided commission of Rs 2000 for delivering the drugs. At present Lucky is unemployed.
