The 15-day contemporary dance workshop by Yogendra Singh Rajput is filled with a lot of information and fun. The workshop ‘Contemporary Dance and Movements’ marked its 11th day on Wednesday.
The dancing aspirants enthusiastically participated in the workshop and learned about the basics of contemporary dance. The workshop of Contemporary Dance and Movements is organized by Rangashri Little Ballet Troupe Renowned dancer from Bhopal is conducting the workshop. As many as 40 children have participated in the workshop.
During the workshop, he introduced various dance techniques, introduced the movements of contemporary dance and body language. During the dance workshop, Anne focused on using breath, flow, energy, gravity and release at the right time. He told in the workshop that it is necessary to have a proper distinction between dancers and dancers on the dance floor. Challenging children physically and mentally is also a part of the work-force.
While talking about the dance form he said that body language is major criteria for the dance. He said it is important to keep body flexible and free at the same time to bring out the essence of the dance form. Then she stated that it is also important to feel the music and feel the dance together.
On Wednesday, he not only interacted with the children but also had fun-filled activities. The children not only learned the basics of dance but also grabbed much knowledge about contemporary dance.
It is noteworthy, that contemporary dance is one of the dominant genres for formally trained dancers throughout the world. In terms of the focus of its technique, contemporary dance tends to utilize both the strong and controlled legwork of ballet and modern dance's stress on the torso, and also employs contract-release, floor work, fall and recovery, and improvisation characteristic of modern dance.
